The colour a new named area starts with. Each area can still be recoloured on its own from the Areas panel, and areas already drawn keep the colour they have.
A display setting, not something saved with an area: it applies to every area and no-count zone at once, on screen and in exported PDFs, including ones already drawn.

The usual eight are built in, with a fixed colour each so you read the same colour on every job. Add your own here if something is missing.

Big drawings ask a lot of a computer. This decides how much of that work to do. It changes nothing about counting — the numbers are the same in all three.
On a tablet with a pen, the pen draws and marks while your finger moves the drawing around. Change that here if you'd rather work another way.

An Excel file (.xlsx) or a CSV. Whatever the columns are called, you say which is which on the next screen — and anything this app has no field for can come in as a column of its own.
Say which column holds where a cable comes from, or where it goes, before importing.
More than one only when they follow exactly the same path — the length is multiplied by it.
One tray or several, side by side down the same route. Widths are in centimetres — 30 means a 300 mm tray. The colour comes from the construction and is the same on every job.
The fill is how a reader tells one construction from another on the printed drawing.
Fill this in and a 34.2 m run is also reported as the 23 pieces you would order, rounded up. Leave it blank to work in metres only.
The marker sits on the drawing, so it keeps its size against the drawing as you zoom — a bigger number covers more of the plan, not more of your screen.
A drawing has to have a scale before any length or area can be shown on it.

most jobs are all at one scale.

Click two points on the drawing whose real distance you know — a door, a grid spacing, a dimensioned wall — then type what it really is. This is the one to use when a PDF has been resized in printing, which is most of them.

Leave that unticked and the scale covers the whole drawing. Tick it for the odd sheet at a different size — a 1:50 detail among 1:100 layouts.
Each page is being drawn once, properly, and kept. This happens only now — afterwards these plans open instantly and always look right. You can leave this running.
